1908

Zeng Zhushao  曾竹韶  ( 1908-2012 ) was born on July, in Xiamen, Fujian Province  China.

 

He spent his childhood in Myanmar.

 

 

1922

He returned to China.

 

 

1928

He studied at the National College of Art, in Hangzhou.

1929

He continued his studies in France, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lyon
  then he devoted himself to music.
   

 

He travelled to Egypt, Greece and Italy to study Western sculpture.
   

1939

Back in China, he taught in Chongqing.
   

1949

Appointed Professor in sculptureat the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China,
  he contributed to the development of sculpture.
   

1952/1958

He participated in the construction of the Monument to the People's Heroes,

 

Tian'anmen Square, Beijing.

   

2012

He died in Beijing  China, on March 12, at the age of 104.
