Pok Chi Lau  劉博智 was born on April 21 in Hong Kong.

1969

He went to Canada and then to the United States to study photography.

1975

He graduated from the Institute with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Scientific

Photography, from the Brooks Institute of Photography.

He continued his studies at the California Institute of the Arts.

1977

He graduated from a Master's degree in documentary and social photography

and started teaching as an assistant.

2004

He was named professor at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas, .
