He studied in National Central University, Chongqing. |

After graduating, Xu Beihong persuaded him to teach at the Nationale Art School. |

He took part in the 1st National Art Exhibition.. |

He entered the C.A.F.A. ( Panting Department ) where he taught for many years. |

He was appointed Director of the Studio of Research and Study of the C.A.F.A. |
