Wang Changkai was born in Zhengding countyof Hebei Province, China. |
| His grand-father writer and landscape painter, introduced him to traditional chinese | |
| culture, from chilhood. | |

He entered the preparatory class of the Beijing Academy of Art. |

He began a first cycle of oil painting, then joined the workshop of Wu Guanzhong. |

He took part to the collective exhibition with five of his former classmates : Six painters |
