Cheng Kar-Chun  郑家镇 ( 1918-2000 ) was native of Hainan.

   

1930

After studying in Guangzhou and then in Hong Kong, he started drawing cartoons.

   

1945/1977

He was editor of the Hong Kong newspaper : 華僑日報 Wah Kiu Yat Po

   

1958

He founded the magazine The World of Cartoon.

   

1962

He organized the first cartoons exhibition in Hong Kong.

   

1964

He turned towards paintings of landscapes, flowers, theater characters or legends
