Lalan 謝景蘭 was born in Guizhou province, in south of China. |

Painter, composer, choreographer, dancer, writer and poet, she studied |

at the Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. |

1941 |
She married the painter Zao Wou-Ki 赵无极 |
|
1948 |
They moved to Paris where she continued her studies. |
|
1957 |
After their divorce, she devoted herself to the painting. |
| She lived and worked in Paris until her death in 1995. | |
