Zhou brothers   周氏兄弟  pinyin  Zhou shi xiongdi

Zhou brothers   周氏兄弟, were born in the province of Guangxi, in China.

1952

Birth of ShanZuo in Nanning.

1957

Birth of DaHuang in Wuming.

1973

They painted together for the first time, as the Zhou brothers : The Wave.

1978

They entered at the Shanghai Drama Institute in order to study Western painting.

1984

They obtained a Master ( frescoes and mural ) from The National Academy of Arts

and Crafts in Beijing.

1985

Price of Chinese Avant-Garde,  Ministry of Culture Beijing.

A traveling exhibition made them known through museums across China :

National Art Museum of Beijing, Shanghai Art Museum, Museum of Art Guiling,

Nanjing Museum of Art.

Their fame became international :  Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, U.S.A.

1988

After several exhibitions in Chicago, their work was published in newspapers

and Art magazines.

They opened their first studio in the Bridgeport neighborhood.

They created Life Symphony that they introduced in Tokyo. ( First Arts Tokyo ).

1992

Their first exhibition in New York at the Nathan Gallery was a success.

1998

An exhibition of sculptures was presented at Art Cologne.

2000

They started to give painting performances.

2004

They bought a warehouse in 35 th streeet to create ZhouB Art, an international

Art center with artits'studios and galleries..

2005

They received The Golden Lion award, Chicago.

They live and work in Chicago  United States.
