1932

Zeng Shanqing  曾善慶  was born in Beijing, China.

1946

He entered the National Peking Arts College.

1950

He graduated from the C.A.F.A. and continued his studies under the guidance of

Xu Beihong ( 1895-1953 )

1951

Graduated from the C.A.F.A. ( Research department) he was assistant professor

of Chinese painting, at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

1952 / 1978

He taught at Tsinghua University ( Architecture department )

He met Yang Yanping, also a painter, with whom he got married.  

1978 / 1986

He was associate professor of Chinese painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

1986

As fellows of the State University of New York, they both moved to the United States,

to Long Island.

He lives and works in New York  United States.
