Wing Shya 夏永康 was born in Hong Kong.

He studied at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver Canada.

He created his studio Shya-La-La Workshop to develop his multidisciplinary approach :

| |
photography but also graphics, advertising spots, video clips and installations,
|
| |
cinema. |

1997
|
He became Hong Kong director Wang Kar Wai's appointed photographer for :

Happy Together ( 2000 ) In the Mood for Love ( 2000 ) Eros ( 2004 ) et 2046 ( 2004 ).

His works were exhibited in China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan.

2006

First solo exhibition at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo Japan.

Movie Director, he released his first feature Hot Summer Days, and the following

year, his sequel, Love in Space, co-directed with Tony Chan.

He designed a fashion film for the American fashion house Rodarte
