Leung Kit Wah was born in Hong Kong. Her family is native of Shunde, Guangdong
|

Province, China.
|
|
|
|
|
|
She studied Chinese painting, oil painting and calligraphy with many masters :
|
| |
Bao Shaoyu ( 1892-1985 ) Zhao Shao'ang ( 1905-1998 ) Wu Buyun ( 1904 ) Zheng Erya.
|
| |
|
|
|
She mainly paints female characters, from History, legends or novels.
|
| |
|
|
1995
|
To better promote Chinese Contemporary Art and artistic exchanges between East
|
| |
and West, she created the Leung Kit Wah Art Foundation..
|
| |
|
| 1997/2000 |
Her works are exhibited in museums in China: in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shunde,
|
| |
Hong Kong and Beijing.
|
| |
as well as abroad : in Germany, Japan and Canada.
|
| |
|
|
2002
|
She obtained the Medal of the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, by the Ministry
|
|
|
of Culture and Communication.
|
| |
In the same year she received from the German government the Officer's Cross
|
| |
of the Order of Merit Medal.
