Katherine Hu Fan  范胡 ( 1935-2014  )was born in Shanghai, China.

1953

She left China for the United States.

She studied at Mills College in Oakland, California.

After graduation, she entered Stanford University, she received a Master's degree in Arts

and joined Art Student's League in New York.

If her brightly colored works show the influence of the West, Chinese characters

and collages are reminiscent of its eastern origins; all want to think about social issues.

Numerous exhibitions in the United States but also in Germany and Italy..
