Huang Jiannan  黄健南 was born in Heyuan, Guangdong Province  China.

His travels on foot through China inspired him the many themes of his paintings

and led him to practice various techniques: oil painting, traditional painting in ink.

He is Professor of Graduate Studies at Tsinghua University in Shenzhen.
