Yuan Jai 袁旃 was born in Chongqing, Sichuan Province, China.
|

She studied Chinese painting at the National Taiwan Normal University.
|
|
1962
|
She went to Belgium, to continue her studies at the Catholic University of Louvain.
|

|
|
1966
|
She received her Master's degree from the University of Louvain, Belgium.
|

She graduated from the Royal Institute of Artistic Heritage with a PhD.

Back in Taiwan, she started working in the Antiquities department at the National

In her paintings inspired by those exhibited at the Museum, she integrated geometric

|
|
elements with vivid colours, creating a contemporary structure.

She lives and works in Taiwan. |
