Feng Fasi 冯法祀 ( 1914- 2009 ) was born on April 20. in Lujiang, Anhui Province China. |
|
1933 |
He studied Art, at the National Central University of Nanjing, under Xu Beihong, |
|
|
Yan Wenliang and Pan Yuliang. |
|
1937 |
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree, from Central University of Nanjing. |
|
|
He joined the Eight Route Army after the start of the war against the Japanese |
|
|
invasion, performed plays for soldiers on the front-lines, to encourage them to fight. |
|
During this time, he created numerous oil paintings and sketches on the war and on |
|
|
the life of soldiers. |
|
|
1938 |
He continued his studies at the Lu Xun Academy of Literature and Arts, in Yan'an. |
|
|
|
|
1939 |
He taught at the Wuchang School of the Arts, relocated to Sichuan Province. |
|
1942 |
He was an associate researcher at the Institute of Fine Arts of China under Xu Beihong. |
|
1950 |
Professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, he was at the head of the oil Painting |
| Department. He created many oil paintings. | |
|
1957 |
He painted Liu Hulan died a martyr, work in the NAMOC collections |
|
1980/1984 |
Individual exhibitions of his oil paintings were organized in China, at the Central Academy |
|
of Fine Arts in Beijing, in Harbin, and abroad, in Paris France. |
|
|
1999 |
Invited to Canada, he exhibited his sketches and some oil paintings. |
|
2009 |
He passed away on July 16, in Beijing, at the age of 95. |
|
For the 100th anniversary of the Master's birth, the National Museum of China, |
|
|
organized a large retrospective of more than 200 works : |
