Bai Ming 白明 was born in Yugan, Jiangxi Province, in China.
1994
He graduated from the ceramic department of the Central Institute of Handicrafts
and Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.
He gave numerous lectures: in Switzerland (2002 ), in the United States ( 2005 ) and ( 2009),
in France ( 2009 ).
His ceramics, which are a synthesis of Chinese artistic tradition and modernity by their
forms and decors, revitalize contemporary Chinese creation.
2004
He won:
- The price of the contribution for the promotion of modern Chinese ceramics,
at the People's Assembly Palace in Beijing.
- The National Book award for his bookJingdezhen
Traditional Ceramic-Making Techniques.
2010
He was invited by the Chinese Cultural Center of Paris to present Oriental Ceramic Story..
