Shen Chen 沈忱 naît à Shanghai Chine.

Après ses études secondaires, il entre au Shanghai Art College. |

1982

Il obtient son Bachelor en Art de l'Académie du Théâtre de Shanghai, |

et part s'installer à Beijing.

|
1988

Il obtient une résidence d'artiste, à l'École de Peinture et de Sculpture

de Skowhegan, aux États-Unis.
|
| |
|
|
1989
|
Il poursuit ses études, grâce à une bourse en Master, à Boston. |
|
|
|
| |
Pionnier de la peinture abstraite, à l'aide de pinceaux traditionnels, il applique la couleur, |
|
|
par superposition, à la verticale, toujours de haut en bas. |
| |
|
|
|
Il vit et travaille à New York États-Unis. |
